He has a beautiful canter and will pick up either lead. He crosses water, trailers, lunges, side passes under saddle, turns on the forehand and haunches. Gibbs is preferred with an intermediate rider who is a leader as he does have some energy about him. He will walk on a loose rein, but is more than happy to move out. He has a slower gait, and when asked will move out into a nice long trot to cover more ground.
