Alex is an 8yr old 15.2 hand tall Sorrel Spotted Saddle Mare. She is not only beautiful to look at, but is so, so gentle and mild mannered. Alex is the perfect Grandma or Beginner type horse. She is slow moving, and extremely rock-solid in her disposition. Nothing at all spooks or bothers her, and when ridding does not pay a bit of attention to the other horses running up on her and past her, traffic, roofers throwing stuff off the roof and banging around! Alex is never going to be a fast moving girl, so don’t have in your mind that you’ll use spurs and get her moving faster, because it’s just not in her personality. She walks with a loose rein, or even laid on her neck, neck reins, direct reins, uses outside leg cues, backs, and stops by just lifting the rein a slight amount.
