Slash is a 15hh 2009 Quarter Horse x Haflinger gelding. Slash has a smooth, quiet WTC that’s easy to ride at any speed. Trots/lopes from a stop, backs, side passes, and pivots. Not a deadhead and has a decent handle for the right rider but a beginner won’t accidently push buttons. Easy, straightforward ride, will neck rein or direct rein. Used as a camp horse and on pack trips, crosses water, deadfall, rough terrain, etc. no problem. Ties overnight, hobbles, ponies, loads/hauls/unloads, etc. Open gates, trim trees, or fix fence on him. No maintenance, gets vetted 2x per year (shots, teeth, Coggins, etc.), UTD on everything. Barefoot, no bad health or injury history. Easy keeper, gets grass hay and handful of “pity grain”. When people ask for a husband-safe, kid-safe, beer-drinking horse, this is what they are looking for. Rides alone or in a group. Works cattle okay but doesn’t have a ton of speed. Great for pushing steers through chutes, not afraid to throw his weight around. Slamming gates, loud noises, shouting, other nervous horses, etc. don’t bother him one bit. No buck, bite, rear, hops, skips, jumps, or whatever else. Can go months without riding and will be the same horse every time.
