Checkers is a well built 14.3hh, 7 yr old, Black Tobiano Gelding. Checkers has been trail ridden hundreds of miles here locally. He has been ridden through large subdivisions, up and down busy highways, and around the outskirts of a small town. He has been shown at local fun shows in all sorts of classes from the the baby bottle contest, musical feed sacks, the balloon pop, egg and spoon class, and the water glass class. He has saw it all from babies in strollers, to kids with balloons, flags flying in the air, kids running around… nothing bothers him! He has been camping and ridden in several states and he just came back from a week long camping trip at the annual Knott County ride where their was over 5000 people, untelling how many horses, campfires, wagons, golf carts, atvs, a live band, tents, generators… pretty much anything that you can think of! Checkers is easy to clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle. Checkers has a super smooth gaited and moves out easily in that smooth 4-beat gait! He is always super smooth regardless of the rider! He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, Checkers is not spooky acting. On the trails he is always great! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too.
